Dodgers' starting shortstop Gavin Lux suffers torn right ACL and sprained right LCL, ending his 2023 season.

Lux sustained the injury while running the bases in the sixth inning of Monday's game against the Padres.

The injury was a "freak thing" and Lux does not think it was avoidable.

Lux will undergo surgery on March 7 with Dr. Neal ElAttrache performing the surgery.
